I found the best supermarket in Germany at the last minute, just in time

We spent our last day in Germany. Before we cross the border with Danmark, I wanted to visit another supermarket, Famila, after remaining disappointed until so far. And, ?you know what? , this is a winner, what an oasis of products spread in an attractive way.

Knowing that Scandinavian prices are fairly high, I wanted to buy everything for the catering of the weekend.

After visiting the lovely town Ribe, we continue our drive in Jutland until we are almost near the Thy National park by dark. The view seems promising, but we will have to wait until tomorrow morning.

Our menu for tonight takes approximately 30 minutes to prepare.

Chop and fry 1 white onion, 4 garlic cloves and 1 chili. Add 120 grams of barley ( orzo). Stir and bake. Add 1 cup of white wine and allow to evaporate. Add 400 grams of chopped green asparagus ( leave the points for later). Stir and bake. Add good quality chicken cubes stock, bits by bits. Stir regularly. Add 1 table spoons of ground pistachio, a bunch of fresh thyme. Allow to simmer. Add now and again some stock. Once almost ready, add the asparagus points and 200 grams of halved cherry tomatoes. Stir and continue to simmer. Add pepper and salt if needed.

Finish with chopped fresh parsley and grated parmesan cheese. Enjoy a special evening in Jutland, near the sea.
