Vegetarian burgers without pickles ;-)

Steam 500 grams of chopped carrots in the microwave until al dente. Drain and add 1 can of drained chickpeas, 3 garlic cloves, 1 peperoncini, 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon of dried basil. Blend, taste, add pepper and salt. If the mixture is too liquid you can add some breadcrumb. Oil your hands and make 6 burgers. Put on baking paper. Store in the fridge to become firmer. Bake in the oven at 200° for 30 mins, and turn halfway.

Serve the burgers with ovenbaked wedges of sweet potato. Put the wedges on baking paper in an oven dish. Add a drizzle of olive oil, spicy paprika powder and salt. Bake for approx 50-60 mins in the oven at 200°, stir halfway.

So, put potatoes first in the oven, then after 20-30 mins, bake at the same time the burgers.

Serve all together with a green salad. You want a little sauce? Ketchup, mayo, greek yoghurt, …or, I promise, next time pickles ;-).
