Let’s prepare ‘un plat à la française’ during the season of the ‘Tour de France’.

Round courgettes ( 700-800 grams of courgettes for 2)are ideal to fill. There are so many ways to fill vegetables without becoming boring.

Half the courgettes and remove the inner part. Chop 1 shallot, 3 garlic cloves and the inner part of the courgettes. Boil 100 grams of red rice. Fry the chopped vegetables and add 200 grams of minced meat (chicken). Add 1 table spoon of a mixture of herbs of the Provence. Add pepper and salt. Fill the courgettes.

Make a creamy tomato sauce with 1 chopped shallot, 2 chopped garlic cloves and 2 fresh peeled tomatoes. Fry everything. Add 1 teaspoon of mix of herbs, pepper and salt. Add 100 ml of light cream to the tomato sauce. Spread the tomato sauce on the filled courgettes.

Cover the courgettes with aluminium foil and bake in the oven at 180° for 30 mins.
