Second rehearsel

Weather has been unpredictable in Italy and, we had lots of friends visiting us. I cooked a lot of children proof dishes which I’m sure you know.

Our second rehearsal with our camper Gloria goes South ( our South of Italy), hoping for some more sun. It’s so difficult to decide what to take and what to leave at home, so this trip is hopefully going to tell us what to decide.

I already know which casserole is most convenient. I still need to decide what extra tools I need ( or could need).

Although we have solar energy, this is not usable for cooking or heating water , and not even for the fridge, only for light energy. For cooking and heating water we depend on gas bottles.

All in one dishes with pasta or rice are easy to cook. If  the outdoor temperature is good, my wife is in charge of the fireplace for the barbecue.

I realize that camper cooking is supposed to be easy, energy friendly and, my top priority,  healthy.

Recipes are available  on request, although I’m pretty sure a creamy pasta alla Norma, a  simplified nasi goreng, an all in one courgettes-gnocchi-burrata, a simple barbecue with asparagus, tomato, onion, garlic with grilled halloumi and local sausage, a mexican chili without beans and vegetarian meat and a pasta with tomato, carrots and canned tuna are not so special to cook, but perfect for a camper kitchen.

I really hope to become more creative in this tiny kitchen. For those who want to follow our trip through Europe :
