Seitan 🤔

What on earth is the taste of seitan? I’m not a real fan of all those vegetarian protein substitutes, but now and again I just want to try them out.

What to cook with 300 grams of seitan?

Our favorite salad with fried seitan?

Slice 1 red onion thinly. Mix with 4 table spoons of red wine vinegar and 6 chopped dates. Marinate for at least 1h.

Chop the seitan in small pieces. Mix with 4 chopped garlic cloves, 1 chili, 1 table spoon of dried basil and a drizzle of olive oil. Bake all together until crispy. Add the dates and onion mixture. Bake shortly together while stirring constantly. Taste, add pepper and salt.

Spread 150 grams of a mixture of salads on a large plate. Make some space in the middle. Put the seitan mixture in the middle. Serve.
