Christmas abroad

Since our move to Italy, we return to Belgium to celebrate Christmas, each with its own family (two Christmas parties 😱). Although we love our families, it’s a survival in many different ways.

This year our return journey makes a huge loop passing by Berlin, Munich, Verona and Bologna.

Our first stop is Berlin where we stay in a nice appartment outside the city. The only decent supermarket on walking distance is Aldi. Our first meal is rather basic.

Put 300 grams of cherry tomatoes and 300 grams of small Roman salads in quarters in an oven dish. Add some fresh rosemary (witch I found in our car 🤣).Mix with a drizzle of olive oil. After reading the manual of the oven I managed to heat the oven at 180° for 40 mins. Stir halfway.

Boil a portion of pasta for 2 p. Drain and keep some of the boiling water.

Fry 4 chopped garlic cloves and 1 chopped chili in a drizzle of olive oil. Bake. Add the pasta and the boiling water. Add salt.

Once the vegetables are ready, serve the dinner.
