Going to a new hairdresser is always an adventure. Moving residence is a reason for the local police to check ‘you are you’. This local policeman asked me a lot of questions, told me the house we bought would have been big enough for his three kids and their families. He left by giving me a card from his son one of the hairdressers in the village (probably, after seeing me in my morning ‘outfit’ he thought it would be a good idea ;-)).
Anyway, after a lot of thinking I decided to give it a try, and I made appointment for both of us, first for me and for Iris a few days later (so she could still change her mind).
The friendly staff seemed to understand what I wanted and after 2,5h I could leave with new hair and, above all, without being in shock.
On a cold and dark day like today, a lot af green cabbage is what you need. Delicious.nl has an elegant recipe.
Chop and rinse a small green cabbage (approx 600 grams for 2p) roughly. Slice 4 garlic cloves. Melt 1 table spoon of butter and add the zeste of 1 lemon. Roast 2 table spoons of peeled pistacchi.
Fry garlic, 1 table spoon of savory and the green cabbage al dente in a drizzle of olive oil. Add pepper, salt.
Serve the cabbage with the lemon butter and a lucious burrata. Combine with bread or some boiled jacket potatoes (each with a bay leaf in a large incision).
Convince Iris that she doesn’t have to worry;-).
