Meatballs in two different ways

Which child does not like meatballs in tomato sauce?? For this recipe look at the recipe 13/1/2017.

The other way is a Sicilian way to prepare meatballs. For the meatballs mix 500 grams of minced meat (chicken, turkey, pig) with 2 spoons of chopped fresh parsley, 2 chopped garlic cloves, 2 spoons of grated parmigiano, 1 battered egg, breadcrumb, zeste of ½ lemon, pepper and salt. Put the equal meatballs (size 3-4 cm) in an oiled oven dish. Bake in the oven at 180° and turn. When the balls have a little crust at the outside add 1 glass of dry white wine and let it evaporate. Add 4 bay leaves, and water until the balls are mostly covered. Let it simmer, in the oven or on the fire until the sauce becomes siropy. Add the juice of ½ lemon, pepper and salt.

Serve the meatballs with pasta, rice or couscous, or a simple potato.

A mixed salad will be delicious in combination with the Sicilian balls.
