Dorothy lives in Vermont, loves to cook and has a world press blog, like me. Her blog post are like columns. I stole the idea for this recipe from Dorothy.Remove 700 grams of frozen forest fruit from the freezer. Defrost partially and remove some of the liquid. Spread in a buttered cake form. Mix with 3 table spoons of sugar and a little drizzle of lemon juice.Melt 50 grams of butter. Add 2 eggs, 75 grams of sugar, 75 grams of flour, 75 grams of almond flour. Mix and add a large pinch of vanilla powder. Spread on the fruit.Bake in the oven at 180° for 40 mins, until the surface is golden brown.Lovely, easy afternoon delight. Thanks, dear Dorothy for the inspiration.
It’s beautiful! I’m honored, and love your twists like the almond flour! It’s fun to watch a recipe morph! (BTW, I do write a food column for our county newspaper..😃).

Thanks! I started life as a radio and newspaper reporter and through the years started doing more writing about gardens and food. A natural progression I would call it!
