Although I know it’s not the most healthy ingredient, I love the local sausage meat. Meatlove for 2 is impossible, but a leftover is also nice cold as lunch.
For a ‘summer’ version, it’s important to add some color. Chicken and Italian sausages contain already enough salt and certain other spices. Mix 400 grams of Italian sausage meat and 200 grams of chicken sausage meat with a handful of chopped parsley, 1 table spoon of fennel seeds, 3 chopped garlic cloves, 1 chopped fresh onion, 1 chopped spicy little pepper. Taste, add pepper if necessary. Take an oiled oven dish. Press ½ of the amount in a certain flat shape. Spread some slices of tomata in between. Put the other ½ above and press to create a real meatlove. Bake in the oven at 200° for 40-60 mins. Ovenbaked potatoes (at the same time, of course) and a large green salad are ideal side dishes.
