Cooking in another kitchen

This week we are lucky to stay in an adorable appartment close to the Belgian office where Iris will work this week, close to a station for my daily journeys.

Today I was in Leuven, the city where I lived for 5 years. There was no time for strolling around but at least time to go to a supermarket full of young people and ingredients which I can’t find in Italy.

Baby corn, sugar snaps, shitake, soy sprouts and yellow tuna steak are the base for our evening dinner.

Chop and fry 150 grams of carrots, 1 large

chili, 3 cm of ginger, 4 garlic cloves in a drizzle of oil. Bake and stir. Add 200 grams of mange tout, 125 grams of halved baby corns and 200 grams of sliced shitake. Bake and stir. Add 250 grams of soy sprouts. Bake and stir for another few mins. Finish with 1/2 of a teaspoon of sesame oil, 1 teaspoon of soy sauce and fresh coriander. Serve with a grilled tuna steak.
