Pancakes Belgian style

1 egg, 100 mg of sifted selfraising flour, 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar, a pinch of salt and a drizzle of peanut oil. Mix until you obtain a smooth liquid dough. Store cool.

Pancakes can be made in advance, but they are even more delicious if you bake them and eat at the same time. This portion is enough for approx 5-6 medium sized pancakes (less thin-thin). Heat the pan. For the first one, but a pinch of butter in the pan. Wait for the ideal moment to turn the pancake (I wait until the whole pancake is filled with small holes. The following pancakes don’t need butter anymore, thanks to the peanut oil in the dough.

White sugar, brown sugar, syrup, butter, marmelade, ……on top, and enjoy.
