Our alternative route back home brings us in Lyon. Apart from being a beautiful city it’s a city for foodies. In my twenties the French cooking style was still very popular with Bocuse as one of the important references. A typical restaurant in Lyon is called a ‘bouchon’ and if you want to try a real local traditional menu, start with the ‘salade lyonnaise’ and try the sausage as main course if you are a flexitarier as I am.
