First frost in winter as initial start for Brussels sprouts doesn’t count anymore as ‘rule’, but let’s agree that we are in that kind of season now.
For Iris those cute vegetables ask for mustard, so let’s find something more sophisticated. Libelle lekker.be has a whole edition with Pascale Naessens (cook/model/ceramist/popular). This idea of mustard sauce I stole from her.
For 2p, blanch 600 grams of sprouts shortly. Drain, halve the sprouts and put in an oven dish. Add 1 sliced red onion, 3 chopped garlic cloves, 1 chopped peperoncini. Add a drizzle of olive and 1 table spoon of dried savory (remember : to reduce flatulence ;-)). Mix everything and spread 300 grams of turkey sausages.
Bake in the oven at 200° for 30 mins. Stir now and again.
Mix 3 table spoons of mustard, 3 table spoons of soy sauce and some water (taste the sauce).
During the last 10 mins of baking time, add the sauce in the oven dish.
So simple and yes, delicious!
