Fresh sardines are a delight, and this recipe is awesome. I love sardines. If you can persuade the fishmonker to prepare fillets, you have no excuse to try this really fantastic recipe.
As a starter for 2p or as part of wonderful buffet 300 grams of fillets are approx 7-8 whole fishes which you can easily cut in two halves.
For the marinade mix 3 table spoons of olive oil, juice of 1-2 lemon, 1 finely chopped garlic glove, 3 table spoons of fresh parsley, 2 table spoons of rinsed and drained capres, pepper and salt. Put the sardines in the marinade for minimum 1h, or even the night before. Store in the fridge.
