Lunch under a tree

Verbena is a real summer herb. It’s famous for its use in tea, it has an anti- mosquito effect, it’s adds a fresh flavor to water and today is adds also flavor to a melon salad.

A lunch on a real hot summer day is preferable light and fresh.

Cut 1 melon ( type cavaillon) in 2 halves. Slice each half in 7 or 8 slices. Remove seeds and skin. Spread on 2 plates. Spread some lemon juice, pepper and a few chopped verbena leaves. Spread some parmigiano cheese ( use a potato peeler ). Finish with a drizzle of good olive oil. Enjoy lunch under a lovely tree.
