In one of my older cookbooks written by Marie-Claire Quittelier, my eye fell on this recipe, the perfect dessert if you have fresh figs.
20 small figs for 5p is a perfect portion. Remove the stem part and make 2 longitudinal incisions.
Put the juice of 2 oranges, 1 pink grapefruit and 1 lemon in a small pan. Add the zeste of the lemon and 50 grams of candy sugar. Heat the pan and allow to simmer until the liquid becomes syrupy. Pour the sauce on the figs and store in the fridge.
Serve figs with the fresh sauce of citrus fruits and a few mint leaves.
