A topper for young and old is potatoe puree, minced meat or sausages, cauliflower and white sauce.
Make a simple puree with 1.5 kilo of boiled potatoes. Add some butter, some pepper, some salt and nutmeg. Mash.
Steam 1 chopped cauliflower and 1 chopped romanesco. Boil the harder pieces with the potatoes.
Make a white sauce with 2 table spoons of butter, 2 table spoons of flour, 1 liter milk, chicken stock cubes, pepper and salt.
Put the puree as first layer in an oiled dish. Spread the minced meat. Continue with the flowers of the cauliflower and the romanesco. Finish with the sauce.
For an extra crispy crust spread a thin layer of grated parmigiano with breadcrumb.
Bake in the oven at 200 ° for 30-45 mins until hot and golden brown.
